Plane survivors Vs. the Others
Filed under: ABC, Lost, Vs. When Lost premiered, fans didn't have to decide who they liked best between the plane survivors and the Others as when the latter were first mentioned, it was clear they were the bad guys. Things got confirmed when Ethan was found out and when we witnessed the boat scene at the end of the Season 1 finale. Have things changed since then? Do we still think the famous Others are so bad? When new episodes air, do we pray to see more scenes in Othersville or at the beach? Do we root for Juliet or Kate to get Jack? That may be another issue, but it's sill a plane survivor versus an Other. Continue reading Plane survivors Vs. the Others Permalink | Email this | | Comments

The Great American Dream Vote is already a goner
Filed under: ABC, Game Show, Cancellations Hey, here's a shocker: The Great American Dream Vote has dismal ratings. So bad, in fact, that ABC yanked it off the schedule after airing only two episodes. Donny Osmond was the host of the sick game show that had people come on television and tell their sob story and beg to have their dream come true. Even the promos for the show made it sound demented and wrong. Last night's episode came in dead last behind fourth place Friday Night Lights on NBC. Instead, ABC will fill the Wednesday 8 pm time slot with episodes of George Lopez. While we may never know whose dream comes true, I can tell you that mine has. ABC moves Underbelly out of Idol's path
Filed under: Other Comedy Shows, ABC, Programming, American Idol ABC is cowering in fear. Ok, all of the networks are (rightfully) cowering in fear from the ratings behemoth that is American Idol. This time it's the new comedy, Notes From the Underbelly, that is being shifted to stay out of Ryan Seacrest's path. The comedy, about a couple expecting a baby and dodging crazy advice from friends and family, has been moved from Wednesdays at 9:30 pm to Thursdays at 10 pm after Grey's Anatomy. The move is in response to Idol's announcement this week that it will expand its results shows to one hour, starting April 11th. Now, Notes From the Underbelly will premiere with back-to-back episodes on April 12th instead of April 11th. Giving a comedy the 10 pm time slot, even if its lead-in is Grey's Anatomy, is a terrible idea. From the promos, it does not look like a prime time show. Let's face it: ten o'clock is the hour for sex and violence. Underbelly looks like it belongs in the 8 o'clock hour (or not on television at all, if you ask Joel). Lost death pool update: week eight
Filed under: Other Drama Shows, ABC, Lost, Contests and Giveaways Well, well, well. "Exposé" was a busy episode for the grim reaper. As usual, I will leave the details for after the jump, so stop reading if you have not seen the newest episode. Many players have shot ahead in the pool, and a few of you have used up all of your picks already. Impressive.
I should mention that there have been rumors that a character who was presumed dead may show up alive in a later episode. For any death pool standings to change, this "resurrection" will have to occur onscreen during Season Three. The character will have to be seen alive, in real time. Now let's get to the updated standings! Continue reading Lost death pool update: week eight Permalink | Email this | | Comments
