• 1893 Veuve Cliquot unearthed in a British castle

  Telegraph.co.uk reports that the world's oldest bottle of Veuve Cliquot Champagne was found in a sideboard at Torosay Castle on the Isle of Mull. Chris James, the current owner, long curious as to the contents of a locked sliding door in the dining room engaged the services of a locksmith. He was rewarded with a perfectly preserved 1893 bottle, complete with trademark yellow label. The bubbly, now considered priceless, is on display in Veuve Cliquot's visitors' center in Reims, France.
  
  In other news, I was really excited to find a half-full bottle of Tito's vodka I'd forgotten about in my freezer last week....

  If you're a fan of flavored vodkas and can stand a little fun being poked at you, I recommend this post from the A.V.Club. They reviewed three new flavors of vodka from Three Olives brand, and it's pretty amusing.

  And you thought Skittles were just for eating. Turns out the candies are perfect for coloring/flavoring vodka.
  
  According to EnglishRussia.com this is a fun new tend. Just separate the skittles by color, add to vodka, let the alcohol absorb the color, and drain. Voilá, rainbow colored vodka! Enjoy in moderation and only if you're at the legal drinking age.

• Absolut Vodka Mexican ad angers some in the US

  Have you heard about this? I think this is one of the funniest stories I've heard all day. Absolut Vodka pulled an advertisement it was running in Mexico because it offended some people in the US.
